I
A bold and highly unusual Fordite pendant necklace, made using a rare and fascinating material formed from layers of paint.
Fordite — sometimes known as “motor agate” — is created when layers of paint build up over time, originally in car factories and now also from other sources. When cut and polished, these layers reveal vivid bands of colour, often resembling natural gemstones.
Each pendant is completely unique, with swirling patterns and colour combinations that cannot be replicated. No two pieces will ever look the same, making every pendant a one-off.
This piece has been carefully cut and polished to reveal the internal layered structure, creating a striking and eye-catching design.
The pendant measures approximately 4.3cm top to bottom and is supplied on an 18 inch sterling silver chain, making it a vibrant and wearable piece of modern jewellery.
This is not a traditional gemstone, but a rare and sought-after man-made material, combining industrial history with jewellery craftsmanship.
