The Crinoids are Jurassic in age and were collected in France and date from around 170 Million Years ago
Crinoids are an aquatic animal also known as Sea Lilies
They look a little like flowers in appearance and sit on the seabed with a long stem sticking up and a flowery appendage on the top that they use to catch small fragments of food
Crinoids still exist today in various forms but these are from an ancient species.
The earrings measures 9mm wide - and mounted on sterling silver stud settings
