The pendant contains numerous authentic fragments of the famous Campo del Cielo meteorite, suspended within a beautifully coloured resin setting that allows the ancient meteorite to be viewed from every angle. The result is a unique contemporary design that showcases one of the world's most celebrated meteorites.
Above the pendant sits a natural green and orange Unakite gemstone bead, adding a subtle splash of colour and perfectly complementing the meteorite below.
The Campo del Cielo ("Field of Heaven") meteorite fell in what is now Argentina around 4,000–5,000 years ago, although it was not rediscovered until 1516. Over many centuries, many tonnes of iron meteorite have been recovered across a wide area, making it one of the most famous meteorite falls in history. Its poetic name refers to the iron stones that were believed to have fallen from the heavens into the surrounding fields.
