  • Description

A bold and highly distinctive Fordite necklace with a double setting, showcasing two sections of this rare and fascinating material in one striking design.

Fordite — often known as “motor agate” — is formed from layers of paint that built up over time in automotive factories. When cut and polished, these layers reveal vivid bands of colour, creating patterns that resemble natural gemstones.

This pendant features a unique double-setting design, allowing two separate pieces of Fordite to be displayed together. This creates a more complex and visually interesting composition, with contrasting colours and patterns interacting within a single piece.

Each section of Fordite is completely unique, with swirling layers that cannot be replicated. No two pendants will ever look the same, making every necklace a true one-off.

The piece has been carefully cut and polished to reveal the internal layered structure, producing a vibrant and highly distinctive finish. The dual elements give this pendant extra presence, making it a strong statement piece while still remaining wearable.

The pendant is supplied on an 18 inch sterling silver chain, creating a striking and modern piece of jewellery.

This is not a traditional gemstone, but a rare and sought-after material, combining industrial history with jewellery craftsmanship in a truly unique way.
