This is a superb and very unusual piece of jewellery.
The pendant is made from a beautiful teardrop-shaped blown glass vial containing genuine volcanic ash from Eyjafjallajökull in southern Iceland.

The volcano erupted in 2010 and became famous worldwide after its ash cloud caused enormous disruption to air travel across Europe, affecting millions of passengers.

The sample weighs approximately 0.25 grams and was collected from the area around the volcano before being sent directly to me from Iceland.

The volcanic material is permanently sealed inside the glass vial and the pendant is supplied on an 18-inch solid sterling silver curb chain.

It makes a fantastic gift for anyone interested in geology, volcanoes, Iceland or unusual natural-history jewellery — and perhaps especially for someone who remembers having their travel plans disrupted by the 2010 eruption.
Presentation has also been greatly improved.

The necklace is supplied in a labelled, velvet-lined jewellery box, which is then placed inside an embossed outer presentation box and wrapped in tissue paper.

You will also receive a signed certificate of authenticity complete with a unique holographic serial number, together with a 24-page full-colour booklet containing further information and jewellery-care guidance.
Stocks are limited, as I only have a finite quantity of this original volcanic material available.
