A superb and impressively sized fossil Belemnite, far larger than the typical examples commonly found.

Belemnites are an extinct group of squid-like marine animals that lived during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, and are among the most recognisable fossils found in the UK. For many collectors, especially beginners, one of the first fossils discovered is either an ammonite or a belemnite.

While Belemnites are not rare, large specimens like these are far less commonly found. The examples offered here are significantly larger and thicker than usual, making them particularly desirable for collectors.

These fossils were collected in the Midlands, England, and each one shows the classic bullet-shaped form that Belemnites are known for.

Each piece is very similar in size and appearance. You will receive a specimen that closely matches those shown, with only slight natural variation.

Every Belemnite supplied measures at least 6 cm in length, with a solid, well-formed shape.
