  • Description

An incredible and highly unusual piece of modern history, this is a genuine fragment of Trinitite — atomic bomb glass formed during the first nuclear explosion.

This material was created at the Trinity test site in New Mexico, USA, on 16th July 1945, when the world’s first atomic bomb was detonated. The intense heat from the blast fused the desert sand into a green glass-like substance now known as Trinitite.

The piece offered here weighs approximately 0.497 grams and measures around 1.1 cm across, making it a small but extremely significant and rare specimen.

Trinitite is now incredibly difficult to obtain, with very few suppliers remaining worldwide. Due to its historical importance and limited availability, it is considered a highly collectable material.

Each piece is completely genuine and represents a direct connection to one of the most pivotal moments in modern history — the beginning of the nuclear age.

This is not just a specimen, but a conversation-starting artefact, combining science, history and rarity in a single piece.
