What could be more exciting than to own your own genuine piece of space rock!!!!!

This is a small whole stone from a Carbonaceous Chondrite meteorite - recently classified and given the name NWA 16415
It was found in North West Africa in 2023

I bought it from Mohammed Ali Loud who had it classified. His name is on the Meteoritical Bulletin as the owner.

This is a small whole meteorite and it weighs 0.867 grams and measures 1cm across

Carbonaceous Chondrites are a very important type of meteorite and are known to contain some of the building blocks of life on Earth.

Carbonaceous chondrites or C chondrites are a class of chondritic meteorites comprising at least 8 known groups and many ungrouped meteorites. They include some of the most primitive known meteorites. The C chondrites represent only a small proportion (4.6%) of meteorite falls.
    (Wikipedia)

This type of meteorite includes some of the most FAMOUS meteorites ever discovered, including legendary meteorites such as Allende and Murchison.

You will also receive a signed certificate of authenticity - complete with a sophisticated holographic serial number - and an exclusive free gift - an illustrated A4 meteorite information sheet.
This was written by Mark Ford - Chairman of the BIMS (British And Irish Meteorite Society) and gives a useful overview of meteorites.
( I am also a member of BIMS)
It will offer no revelations to a dedicated meteorite buff, but will be indispensable for a complete novice
