They are created with the hand painted ceramic sunflower seeds created for the 2011 art installation at the Tate Modern - London
More than 16 MILLION seeds were created by hand and placed on the floors of the main Turbine hall for visitors to walk on and enjoy.
The Seeds were not actually stolen or supplied BY the Tate Modern exhibition, but was sourced from the specialist ceramic company in China that created the Sunflower seeds for the exhibition.
The seeds are amazing artifact in their own right and were individually made by hand from high quality ceramic and then intricately hand painted to resemble a real sunflower seed.
The seeds measure 1.5cm in length.
The Sunflower Seeds are sealed in silver plated spiral cages - and then strung on solid sterling silver earrings
beautifully presented in a padded, velvet lined gift box and would surely make a fantastic gift for anyone interested in this legendary artist.
This is VERY rare material, and I only have limited stocks to offer.
NB - This piece of jewellery is not endorsed or created by Ai Weiwei himself.
The jewellery presentation has been greatly improved and as well as being presented in a labelled, velvet lined box it will sent in an embossed presentation box
