  • Description

A superb and highly collectable Charmouth Ammonite pendant, featuring a genuine British fossil set in solid silver.

This piece is handcrafted using a real Promicroceras Ammonite, collected from Charmouth beach on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset — one of the most famous fossil hunting locations in the world.

The ammonite dates from the Jurassic period (approximately 150–200 million years ago), when these spiral-shelled marine creatures lived in ancient seas.

This is a gorgeous small specimen with a naturally pyritised surface, giving it a subtle metallic shimmer that catches the light beautifully. This effect is difficult to fully capture in photographs but is very noticeable in person.

The fossil measures approximately 2.1 cm across and is set in a custom-made solid sterling silver setting, designed to hold the ammonite securely while allowing its natural form to take centre stage.

It is supplied on an 18 inch sterling silver curb chain, creating a clean and wearable piece that works equally well as a gift or personal keepsake.

Because these are natural fossils collected individually, each pendant will vary slightly — part of their authenticity and charm.

A classic and highly desirable piece of genuine British fossil jewellery.
