Wedding Ring Set - Ammolite And Iron Meteorite

  • Description
This ring was commissioned by  a couple  who didn't want  traditional wedding rings

There are MANY jewellers who create traditional jewellery and I would rather create jewellery that is more unique and unusual

I made it as simple as possible with plain sterling silver bands  set with a cabochon of Ammolite and also fragments of iron meteorite.

Ammolite is a wonderful and rare natural gemstone made from an irridescent fossil Ammonite found in only ONE place on Earth
This place is Alberta, Canada

The surface of the Ammonite  has the most amazing shimmering multi coloured surface and this is skilfully cut and made into a variety of settings and cabochons
( see one of the extra images for an idea of where Ammolite comes from and how it is used)

For the meteorite settings I found some nice natural looking fragments and made custom settings for each piece
This is a bespoke ring and it takes a LONG time to make a setting for EACH fragment
You can see some extra images from the wedding .

The bridal couple were thrilled with the rings and they helped make their special day  EXTRA special
