An unusual and beautifully simple piece of meteorite jewellery - and the first of its kind ever offered!
A small slice of iron CAMPO DEL CIELO iron meteorite has been skilfully set in a purple resin star pendant.
As well as looking beautiful - another benefit of the meteorite slice being set in resin is that it is protected from the damaging effects of the moist Earth atmosphere.
It can be quite tricky to store iron meteorites for long periods as they can often suffer from rust damage
This being set in an airtight resin is that it will stay in this state FOREVER.
The Star pendant measures 4cm across - is and strung on a solid silver 18 inch curb chain.
I am not sure of the exact weight of the iron meteorite section inside as I did not make this part of the necklace, but I would estimate it at +_ 2 grams
It is beautifully presented in a padded, velvet lined gift box and would surely make a fantastic gift for any fan of meteorites or astronomy.
