Douvilleiceras Ammonite
This is the VERY first Ammonite of this type and location I have ever offered on this site, and a beauty it is too!
The Ammonite measures 7cm across at its widest point and 3.5cm at its fattest point
The Ammonite was found in Madagascar and dates to the Cretaceous and like the MANY other Ammonites found there has the most stunning colouration and texturing to the chambers
It has been polished to bring out both the rich brown colouration and the intricate suture patterning of the shell chambers
It looks and feels AMAZING in the hand and would decorate any window ledge very nicely
