This ring was commissioned by someone who didn't want a traditional wedding ring
There are MANY jewellers who create traditional jewellery and I would rather create jewellery that is more unique and unusual
I made it as simple as possible with a plain sterling silver band and then set it with a round cabochon of Ammolite
Ammolite is a wonderful and rare natural gemstone made from an irridescent fossil Ammonite found in only ONE place on Earth
This place is Alberta, Canada
The surface of the Ammonite has the most amazing shimmering multi coloured surface and this is skilfully cut and made into a variety of settings and cabochons
