I have set a rounded rectangular cabochon of Fordite into a solid silver setting.

This has then been strung from an 18 inch solid silver curb chain and boxed in a black velvet lined jewellery box and complete with a full colour Fordite information sheet.
Fordite is a beautiful substance, but neither natural nor old.
Fordite is actually built-up paint residue from the paint-shops at Ford car plants.
I am NOT joking!
It really is the most beautiful substance, and when cut and polished it reveals the coloured layers of paint that have built up on the floors and walls of the paint shop.
