A superbly shaped fossil antler with a lovely colour and polish

The reindeer lived in the last Ice Age - 12,000-30,000 years ago 
This is a gorgeous ice age reindeer antler
It is a partial antler but has a superb rich brown colour and a great shape
It was collected from the River Maas area of Holland

Measures 27cm

This is a super little fossilised sheeps tooth from the North Sea/Dutch River Maas area

  • Late Pleistocene period.
  • Devensian Glaciation.
  • Circa. 12,000 to 30,000 years

    Sheep may not be the rarest or most beautiful of animals, but in the prehistory of the UK they are an essential part of the story.
    They have provided food and clothing for countless generations and there importance can't be overlooked.
    This is super little tooth with a  lovely range of colouration and a nice level of natural wear

    Ice Age Sheeps Tooth In Jaw Section SOLD

    A similar item to the Wild Boar Jaw but a larger tooth
    This is a huge sheeps tooth and measures 5.5cm long

    The root of the tooth is exposed and you can see the deep root travelling down into the jaw bone.
    The tooth shows nice wear where the sheep must have been chewing on masses of Ice Age grass!

    The jaw bone measures -12 x 7.5cm
    The tooth measures 5.5cm root to tip
